Biter Biscuits

Thank you Uncle Brian and Aunt Jen for my biter biscuits! I love them! They are just a tad messy, but don't worry because that doesn't bother me a bit!
I can't wait to come share them with you guys at your house!

Dive in!

Bath time is posing as a "problem time" for Jon and I. It appears that Sam wants to go EVERYWHERE in the tub! He is too slippery to stop and wants to splash as hard as he can! It often takes two of us to control this little bundle of energy, but it sure is fun to watch this little guy in action! Please check out the thunder thighs...

Happy Turkey Day!

We traveled all over Missouri to celebrate Sam's first Thanksgiving! We started off in Maryville to celebrate with the Watkins side and ended in Liberty to celebrate with the Drake clan!
Sam did great and had so much fun seeing all the family members that don't get to see him very much. Hope everyone had a great holiday!

(above)This is probably my favorite picture of Sam yet! This could be our Christmas card!

Pirates of the Carribean/Liberty

Our first Halloween was a success! Yes, the mothers might have had more fun dressing up our boys than they did...but it was worth it! Here are a few of the priceless pics from the boys first Halloween together!

Baby Dedication

On October 21, 2007 Sam got dedicated to the Lord at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. We really appreciate those that came and helped make that day very special to us. We would also like to thank everyone for their constant prayers and support. We feel extremely blessed to have such a community of love surrounding us! Thank you!

My Little Pumpkin!

Today was my first day to experience fall at it's finest! Grammie and Pappy took us all to the Red Barn in Weston for me to pick out my first pumpkin and take fun pictures. We spent the whole afternoon there looking at all the fun animals, staring in amazement at how big pumpkins are, and playing in the dirt! My best buddy Max joined us for the photo shoot as well!
I can't wait to go back next year so I can go on a hayride!

Happy 25th Birthday Daddy!

Man, my Dad sure is getting old! This morning we woke him up (actually, I woke everyone up around 4 a.m.) with a fun card and then I got to help Mom make him breakfast.
Luckily, my Grammie and Pappy were able to watch me tonight so Mom and Dad could go on a big date to celebrate!
Here is a picture of this morning and a sneak preview of my Halloween costume!

Angela's Wedding

We had an eventful weekend with my best friend Angela's wedding taking place on Saturday. I stayed pretty busy with the wedding party and Sam didn't get to make it to the reception because it was his bedtime, but here are a few shots of the beautiful bride and some of Jon and I. We don't get dressed up much these days so we felt the need to take a few pictures!

6 month pictures!

Our pictures are up and let me tell ya...they are CUTE!!! Of course, we are his parents and think everything Sam does is cute because we are just a little biased! To view them just go to:

Ladies and Gentlemen...

Samuel Jonathan Akins has slept through the night! Hooray! It has only taken him 6 months to do it, but on Sunday and Monday evening Sam slept for 10 hours straight without waking up to feed! Not only is Sam a new man, but his Mom is a whole new woman! Sam has been in the best mood, laughing and talking non-stop, and he has been having so much fun playing with Mom and Dad.
We are hoping this is a new start to our evenings...but I don't want to cross my fingers just yet! We also took our 6 month pictures yesterday and he was such a cheeseball! The link for those will be up soon...
Here are some pictures of Sam mastering sitting up!

Okay...so maybe we haven't "mastered" it yet, but we are getting very close!

Dear Personal Shopper/Great Aunt Cindy-

I would like to thank you for all the clothes from the outlet stores. You have fabulous taste and I can't wait to wear them for the upcoming fall season. My Mom is very excited about all the new outfits she gets to put me in!

P.S. Please don't tell my Dad just how excited I am about all my new clothes...he might not like it : )

Smiling for the camera...

It has taken me sometime now to figure out how to get Samuel to smile for the camera. What will happen is that he will be in a great mood, smiling and laughing, then when the camera starts to flash a daze with go over his face and he just stares at the shiny silver thing that is in his face all day long.
I have been trying numerous tricks to get his mind off the camera and some seemed to work this week.
Here are a few of the shoots I captured:

Yes, we have taught him how to say his nighttime prayers...

Jesse James Parade

This morning our guests started arriving around 8:30 for a fun-filled day packed with a wonderful breakfast, Jesse James Parade, BBQ, and horseshoe tournament! We had so much fun and want to thank everyone for taking the time to come visit us and make this a special day!

Here are a few pictures that were captured during our festivities:

Jamie, Sam, Mandy ,and Jackson

Poppy and Grandma Akins with Haley, Jaden, and Brennon

6 month check-up

Yesterday, I had my 6 month check up. I weight 19 pounds and 13 ounces and am 28 inches long! I am in the 95% for height and 90% for my weight. So, I think Mom is doing a pretty good job feeding me these days! I had to get two shots, but I was such a BIG BOY!
Unfortunately, I had a little bit of a fever after the shots and didn't feel that great. I decided to take a long nap today to make up for NO SLEEP and am in a much better mood!

Smiling with Daddy

I sure do love my daddy!

Jumping Jumperoo

Watch me go! This is my FAVORITE thing to do when trying to pass the time! I love to get my leg workout in while enjoying some fun animal tunes!

Toy Hog

Here is my friend Jackson. Jackson likes to take my toys. Apparently, I'm not old enough to realize that I don't like this. He takes my rattles, blankets, and books. But, his favorite thing to take is my pacifier. That's right folks, Jackson steals my pacifier right out of my mouth and then has the nerve to put it in his!
Don't let these adorable pictures fool you! He is a theif! His smile and sweet laugh might catch you off guard, but this is just a warning!

Hide your toys because he is coming after them!!!

My new highchair!

Well, I have been needing this bad boy for quite sometime now. Mommy has been feeding me in a bouncy seat and since I can reach my toes in there dinner can be a pretty messy time! I'm so glad that Dad bought this for me and I can eat like a champ now!

Yummy! Now, it may appear that I like prunes more on my face when I actually do like them in my tummy as well!

Shades...

I have to wear sunglasses because my future is so bright...thank you, thank you, I'll be here all week.

Party at my Crib!

Last week I had my pals Jax and Max over. I really think our moms had more fun than we did because they made us dress in each others outfits and pose for pictures. I really didn't mind too much since I was with my buddies.

Man, that was a lot of work! We finally got one where they are all looking at the camera. I wish you could have seen our moms on the other side of the floor trying to get our attention, they are pretty silly!

All that playing really wore me out!
